The safe transportation of Saranac Central School students is the number one priority for our bus drivers and all the staff of the bus garage. It is important that our students recognize and follow the rules of the bus to maintain this safety:

1. Observe the same conduct as in the school classroom.
2. Be courteous, do not use profane language.
3. Do not eat or drink on the bus.
4. Keep the school bus clean.
5. Cooperate with the driver.
6. Absolutely no tobacco use, including chewing tobacco.
7. Do not be destructive.
8. Stay seated at all times.
9. Keep head, hands and feet inside at all times.
10. The school bus driver is authorized to assign students seats.

A discipline policy is in place if rules are broken. For more information on the policy, refer to the school website, or contact the school bus garage.

*School bus drivers have an important job, and it is imperative that our students follow the rules on a daily basis. Getting our children to and from school safely and happily is our most important job here at the Saranac Central School Transportation Department. *
